Set up Afribit AI on a machine your community manages. Build around your local language, priorities and reviewed knowledge.

A community can run Afribit AI on its own machine, with its own reviewed knowledge and its own database, so the knowledge stays in the community’s hands.

Local chat is free to use. Local AI needs a GPU with 10 GB or more of memory, ideally 16 GB.

Local mode keeps inference on the node. Hybrid mode can send questions to a hosted model and must be disclosed. HTTPS is required to install the app. Push notifications need internet. The community mesh has not yet been tested.
